     The Facing Project

Founded in 2011, Facing Project began its mission to unify communities via storytelling, partnering local writers with anonymous storytellers to share their experiences and promote social awareness. Since 2012, various nonprofit organizations and other entities joined as partners of the project, and it continued to grow from there.

Now, Facing Project has partnered with one of ASUCLA's 14 Undergraduate Student Association offices, CSC, to help tell student stories, with this year's debut theme focusing on obstacles attaining access to higher education.

CSC

Founded in 1965, the Community Service Commission at UCLA aspires to create social change through student action. More than 2,000 undergraduate volunteers dedicate their time to reach out to marginalized communities in the greater Los Angeles area and Tijuana, as well as within the UCLA campus itself.

CSC comprises 33 student-initiated service groups that collaborate with more than 12,000 service recipients annually to promote social awareness and instill leadership in students to become advocates of social change.
